Finally the film is developed!
After 10 years of digital photos… this is like a sigh. It is my “first” analog photo, my first film paid in euros (the last one was in escudos :p) my first with the Canon AE-1 and my first fully-analog-experience photo. It is definitely a new world xD

a whole new world (…new?)

Miguel is happy with his new Canon AE-1 (bought on ebay) xD … I think he lost his mind…
Thanks for the advice about this camera, Tiago xD Me and all the family!

I want to be in a band, when I get to heaven

the lab’s guardian

Yesterday we (me and more 31 crazy ones) finished a huge project for the master degree. Being 16 hours per day at the university was almost like living there. The project was heavy, but a really nice experience :)
During the last hours everyone freaked out: emitting strange sounds and talking with inexistent nonsense words… Luckily, we find the department have a secret and invisible medieval guardian, called OrDoS, controlling the lab. Otherwise, it will could quickly turn on a battlefield. Despite having more than 800 years, his clothes are adapted to the modern times. Even being invisible, I could see him because I was using a special lens filter.
sense

‘Sense’ is another of my favorite photos ever. Tono Stano, from Prague, is another master of photography, mainly known for his black and white photographs of the female body.
facity: behind the scenes

I love the Facity project. It is so nice to register the faces of our city! After taking my photo, I’m always inviting my friends to do the same. Today it was the day of my brother Henrique, and three nice friends: Paulo Xavier, Virgínia and Lara. And I wanted to be present on this moment, too =)

Paulo’s and Virgínia’s photos wasn’t too difficult to photograph. Just a little tantrum. But with Lara… it was really really hard to convince her to take her photo. After 20 minutes of tears, requirements, threats and intimidations, Lara proposed a deal: she will let his father (and not, Tiago!) to take his photo in exchange for candies. After this moment, the tears reduced a lot… but she wasn’t too convinced to accept.

After more 10 minutes of negotiations, Lara started to sympathize with Tiago and everything became easier. Finally, it was possible to take her photo! In the end, we went to a café to eat the candies. She deserved them! =)
At night, Lara saw this photos and start laughing and theatricalize the morning moments! ahah

The photos are a a little blur because I need to be really fast to take the photo and hide the camera. Otherwise, Lara will notice my camera and start crying again :p Oh, and on this last photo I loved the expression of Lara staring at Tiago as she was asking “so, do you like it?”.
maus hábitos

He’s was trying to hide himself from the camera because the 3 bad habits… but I’ll snitch him! He’s João Luís and he is one of my best friends. A friendship for life! The photo was taken tonight at Velha-a-Branca.
nowhere man

♫ “He’s a real nowhere man,
Sitting in his Nowhere Land,
Making all his nowhere plans
for nobody
[...]
He’s as blind as he can be,
Just sees what he wants to see,
Nowhere Man can you see me at all?”
No manipulation made. Just optics :) Ideia by him, my brother Henrique. Good one!

The photo was taken at a fundraising concert “Juntos na Ajuda ao Haiti” (all together helping Haiti) organized by the musical school Companhia da Música, in the museum D. Diogo de Sousa, Braga. The money was sent today for Haiti =) The greatest thing on globalization are this kind of reactions. The whole world instantly united by a cause, helping people we don’t know, people who don’t know us, but who need us. Beautiful initiative.

Unfortunately, the photo got a lot of noise. I had to be very fast to take this photo and the camera pre-configured to ISO 1600. But I love the silhouette.
